Bowman Riley Architects were recently awarded the project to redevelop the Cobham South Service Station in Kent.
Following recent upgrades by the Highways Agency to four lanes in each direction, the heavily trafficked A2/M2 links London with the south east coast. Our client has identified the need for their site to be brought up to date to meet motorists' expectations.
The existing outdated amenities will be demolished and in their place is planned a large Esso 'On The Run' building offering a variety of hot and cold foods, refreshments and WC facilities.
External proposals include a new 6 island, 12 pump forecourt and a separate 2 island, 4 pump HGV fuelling facility with combined AdBlue™ dispensers.
The entire fuelling system and storage tanks are also to be replaced along with the site's drainage, electrics and communications.
