HML Headquarters completed with a bang!
Fireworks, champagne and music celebrated the conclusion of another successful project last week. The £16 million new build headquarters for HML, a subsidiary of Skipton Building Society plans to open its doors for business next month.
HML, a specialist financial outsourcing organisation commissioned Bowman Riley Architects to design the striking 100,000 ft² building, situated at the gateway to Skipton, in order to accommodate the 850 employees, currently located at 4 sites around Skipton into one centralised location.
The project received a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating; an acknowledgement of the environmental features it incorporates such as bio-mass boilers, rainwater harvesting, solar hot water panels, passive chilled beams, extensive solar shading and photovoltaic cells. The project has been hailed as a success by the client, and was a successful working collaboration between Bowman Riley Architects, Wates Construction, Rex Proctor & Partners, BSCP Engineers and Brentwood Group.
