Bowman Riley Building Surveyors have undertaken a number of refurbishment and construction projects throughout the University ranging from £150k – £1.5m.

Bowman Riley Building Surveyors designed and managed the complete refurbishment of the Phoenix North East Building, University of Bradford to create a new Estates Services department and Facilities Department compiling offices, workshops, stores and WC’s.

The Phoenix NE Building was originally a Mill building constructed in the late 19th Century, and retains many original construction features including cast iron columns and structural frame supporting a ‘north-light’ roof profile which have been retained and sympathetically incorporated into the refurbishment.

The works comprised of the complete demolition and strip out of the interior building, replacement of the north light roof covering, provision of a new entrance extension, interior layouts and new doors and windows throughout.
